DVD Barnyard: Online Retailer Offers Over 60,000 DVD Movies
Minot, ND (PRWeb) March 23, 2007 -- DVD Barnyard (www.dvdbarnyard.com) is announcing its grand re-opening. The online retailer (which opened for business in early 2006) specializes in the sales of DVD movies (as well as other movie formats). Unlike most online retailers that sell DVD movies, DVD Barnyard has over 60,000 titles available with more titles being added daily.
Founder Ron Herr made the announcement following this week's eComXpo (the virtual tradeshow for ecommerce marketers -- ecomxpo.com), which ran March 20-22. Herr stated "the site had to be re-designed from the ground up. Our site has always been secure (as they are GeoTrust secured by Secure2U), but we added the Hackerfree certification from Xentinel Digital Security, to help re-inforce it. The whole look and feel of the site has been changed, movie categories have been changed, and more movies have been added. We've added a newsletter to send our customers special disounts, and sale announcements as well." Herr also stated that changes have been made on the marketing side as well: "We had been using one of the price comparison sites, but it just wasn't working out ... their concept is a good one, but a lot of the clicks we were paying for not buying. I think in order for price comparison sites to truly become effective, they need to change from PPC (pay per click) to PPS (pay per sale). Once that happens, I will have no problems advertising through that medium again."
What's in the future for DVD Barnyard? When Mr. Herr was asked the same question he stated: "We're always making suggestions to our supplier to add more titles, and are trying to get more HD-DVD and Blu-ray titles available for our customers. Still being new to ecommerce, we are always exploring new ways to improve our business, which is why we've attended all of the eComXpo's to date."
A complete listing of titles available can be found at: www.dvdbarnyard.com
